waiting

the daughter and i are both involved in our homes, packing and such.

i drop by as often as i can... she won't take help, this youngest child of mine...but, i think she enjoys the company, or at least she says she does.

she packs and packs and takes care of her two (step) children, and waits for her husband to come back from denver.

i putz around and semi pack, and wait for no one.

both of us are involved in the process, one waiting with sad place in her heart while her love is away, the other...

....waiting for god knows what.

I'm not sure what to comment on this post, Quin...

I pray that when your move to Denver DOES happen, it will be smooth and a good thing for you.

On a separate subject, 4 friends and I drove over to the French Market in the Quarter this morning for the Annual Creole Tomato Festival/Seafood Festival. Hot, tons of people there, had some gumbo at the French Market Cafe. The line at the Cafe du Monde went all the way around the building, around the back and back around to the front again! Unbelievable!

Took a lot of images, and will probably do a post this evening or tomorrow.
